Midnight at The Never Get

The Art:

Taking place in 1965 at an illegal, queer nightclub,  Midnight at The Never Get is the story of Trevor Copeland as he waits in purgatory for his ex-lover, Arthur Brightman, on the day of his death. In this case, Purgatory is a long-gone, fictional nightclub, The Never Get. The show opens with a performance by Trevor, before he goes on to explain what’s happened to Arthur tonight, and how absolutely giddy he is about the event of his death. The show continues with Trevor performing a reenactment of his and Arthur’s time at the Never Get, including their weekly act, MidnightAs the show goes on, the audience begins to see that Trevor and Arthur’s relationship was not all Trevor recalls it to be, and that, maybe, it wasn’t really a true love at all.
